Jungle Games

Jungle Games

Hot Mac Apps Review:

Jungle Games is a simple ring tossing game with a little bit of puzzle action as well. Not only do you have to throw the rings on the poles, you have to get the colors to match to achieve the highest score. You can choose between the three poles, but also bin any ring colors that wont combine with your current pole standings, you can only bin three rings though so use it wisely. There are three different standard difficulty modes from easy to master, also there are two timed modes, each with a different amount of time to really put the pressure on.

Jungle Games has good colorful graphics and a good themed user interface. It also has Game Centre integration for online leaderboard and achievements. Although Jungle Games is mostly a puzzle game, you still have to throw rings onto poles, I think that it should require a certain technique to throw the rings and if you get it wrong the ring wont land on the pole but fall off, only to make the game a little harder and more interesting. Overall a good game for anyone that likes a puzzle, good graphics and usability as well.

App Store Description:

Welcome to the jungle! Throw rings on poles and
combine their colors to keep the challenge running!

Here’s the new series of puzzle-action games set

in mystic ruins:

Players find themselves in a colorful cartoon-like jungle world. So what will you do there?

The gameplay is easily explained:

Swipe your finger to toss colored rings at three poles. Build rows and columns of matching colors to score and make the rings disappear.

If all poles are filled with a maximum of five rings, the game is over.

To give you a chance of planning in advance, there is a preview of the next two upcoming rings. Whenever a color doesn’t fit you at all, throw that ring in the bin. This can only be done three times, but high scores will earn you more throw-aways.

The five difficulty levels reach from Easy to Ultra Panic. In Panic Mode, time is limited. Score color combos to earn additional seconds to your countdown, but the constant time pressure makes it hard to plan your next throw. There are separate scores for each level.

Highscores and any achievements won
will be saved on Game Center.
